One of the most brutal exercises on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars is watching a partner speak truthfully about their partner and their failing relationship. Season 11 is no exception to the rule. Former Danity Kane girl band member Aubrey O’Day is with her boyfriend of two years, Jersey Shore star Pauly D. Aubrey has been on the show before — in 2015 with then-boyfriend Travis Garland. (Aubrey and Pauly hooked up a year later on Famously Single.)
On Marriage Boot Camp, after listening to Pauly’s confession, Aubrey says she feels “tortured.” Pauly smiles nervously, “So, I torture you?” To which she says, “So you’ve never seen me tortured?” The room is dead quiet. Aubrey goes on to ask Pauly, “Have you ever seen me crying, laying on the bed, begging you to be fair?” And then she claims, “No one has ever tortured me like my mom did except for you.” Pauly gives a reasonable response: “Well, if you feel that way, you should’ve left a long time ago. Because I don’t torture, that’s insane.”
Aubrey’s mother is Kandy Allen. In 2011, Aubrey told Oxygen that her mother raised her and that she didn’t see her father too much as a child. She said: “I want to be positive about my mom and dad, but it’s not a one-way street and I am tired of putting more effort forward than I get in return.” Kandy Allen appeared as herself in the 2009 VH1 TV movie The Aubrey O’Day Show and on the 2011 reality show All About Aubrey.
