The 2018 Lifetime movie A Sister’s Secret is inspired by true events. To celebrate their 30th birthday, identical twin sisters decide to switch places for just one week. Their plan backfires when one of the twins is murdered. The surviving sister continues to live as her sister — even to her sister’s husband and children — in hope of finding her sister’s killer. She must act quickly before the murderer finds out the wrong sister was targeted and comes after her.

Both twin sisters are portrayed by Margaret Anne Florence. Florence said: “It’s the most insane job I’ve ever had.” Plus, she gets to share the screen with Paula Abdul who plays a detective (see photo below). Florence, a classically trained singer, is also known for her roles on CMT’s Sun Records (where she plays Elvis recorder Marion Keisker, see movie link above), Inside Amy Schumer (Becky), and the soap opera Guiding Light (Marlene), among others. A Sister’s Secret premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, August 5 at 8pm.
