On the Season 2 premiere of The Unexpected, “Unsafe and Unplanned,”while 17-year-old McKayla decides to move out of her grandparents’ house with her baby, and Chloe‘s boyfriend Max wants her to move in with him, 16-year-old Lexus reveals the details on her breakup with boyfriend Shayden. They are the parents of 9-month-old Scarlett. But after Scarlett’s birth, Lexus says Shayden went to jail for violating his probation and hasn’t seen much of him since.

In Season 2 of The Unexpected, Lexus is raising Scarlett with her 32-year-old mother who goes by the name “GG” instead of grandma. In her mom’s house in Monticello, Indiana, Lexus admits that she misses Shayden (which she does not want her mother to know). Lexus does eventually reveal to her mother, “I’ve known for a long time that I like girls, like from the sixth grade, that’s why I left Shayden.” The Unexpected airs Sundays at 10pm on TLC, right after 90 Day Fiancé.
