It’s Shark Week on Syfy, whether you like it or not, and a new movie titled Santa Jaws is on the docket. The elevator pitch must have been “Die Hard meets Home Alone meets Jaws.” Santa Jaws is about a boy named Cody who makes a wish to be alone for Christmas. His dream comes true when a shark manifests and kills his entire family.
The actor playing Cody is Reid Miller. And just days before the premiere of Santa Jaws on Syfy, he was nominated for Best Young Filmmaker at Action On Film Festival for his short film thriller Flikker. Miller wrote and directed and starred in the 9-minute film about a boy who believes he is being stalked and tormented by a malevolent force. (Not a shark this time.)
