On Season 7 of Basketball Wives, while Malaysia Pargo tries to face her fear of police officers by meeting with one, Jackie Christie hosts a party for her Public Service Announcement. If you’ve ever watched an episode of this show, you know that when these ladies get together at a party, things go left, no matter if the party is for a good cause. At Jackie’s party, it’s Tami Roman and Jen Williams who go head to head.

On a more serious note, in March 2018, Jackie’s husband Doug Christie joined former Sacramento Kings players Garrett Temple and Vince Carter at a forum hosted by the Black Lives Matters Sacramento chapter, 12 days after Stephon Clark was fatally shot by police. The 22-year-old unarmed black man was shot 20 times in his grandmother’s backyard. In honor of Stephon Clark, the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics issued a Public Service Announcement where NBA players called for accountability. In the PSA, Temple says, “We will not shut up and dribble,” a reference to a comment made by Fox News host Laura Ingraham. At the Black Lives Matter forum, Christie said: “You see the march in Washington to the marches here, the more we do that, the more we’re heard, the more we galvanize, the greater voice we have.” Basketball Wives airs Sundays at 10pm on VH1.
