In the Season 9 premiere of Suits, “Right-Hand Man,” Harvey Macht (Gabriel Macht) and Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) grapple over who should lead as the firm through its transition. Early in the morning, Harvey goes to Alex’s (Dule Hill) apartment to break the news, that they’re merging with Robert Zane. Alex is not happy — he thought his name was going to go up next. Harvey convinces him that it will, next time. Things don’t run smoothly for Harvey this season. He has to deal with shady character Samantha Wheeler.
Samantha Wheeler is portrayed by Katherine Heigl. She’s best known for her roles on Grey Anatomy (Dr. Izzie Stevens), Roswell (Isabel Evans), and in the films 27 Dresses (Jane) and Knocked Up (Alison Scott), among others. Heigl is pumped to play Samantha Wheeler. She’s empowered by the character who according to Heigl, “never apologizes unless she means it.” Suits airs Wednesdays at 9pm on USA.
