In the Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta episode “Somebody Just Turned on the Vixen!”, bride Erin comes into Bridal by Lori looking for a “sexy vixen” dress for her wedding reception. She does not, we repeat, she does not want a ball gown. While Erin tries on a form-fitting sexy dress in the dressing room, her fiance TJ patiently waits in the parlor with Monte. Yes, Erin brought her future husband with her. No mom, no sister, no auntie. Just her fiance. Red flag!
While Erin is in the dressing room, Monte invites TJ to sneak around and look for dresses with him. The problem is TJ has his eyes set on one dress. “I can help but to pull what my eye likes,” he tells Monte. The problem is, it’s a ball gown. Monte figures “maybe, just maybe, he knows something that I don’t,” and brings it into Erin’s dressing room. Watch her reaction in the exclusive video below.
The dress that TJ picked out is a gorgeous strapless gown with a sweetheart bodice and delicate beading. But it’s not the silhouette Erin is looking for. She tries it on for him, thinking once he sees her in it, he’ll realize it’s not sexy. But he does think it’s sexy and tells her, “It looks really pretty on you.” Well, TJ might as well have called her ugly. Pretty is not what she’s going after. The phrase is sexy vixen! When TJ tries to point out that the top of the dress is sexy, Erin says, “But I’m not wearing just the top.” Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta airs Saturdays at 8pm on TLC.
