On Season 4 of My 600-lb. Life, the cameras watched Lupe (Samano) Donovan as she started her weight loss journey. Since her gastric bypass surgery, Lupe has lost more than 400 lbs. After her surgery, Lupe discovered that her husband Gilbert was still communicating with women online. So she left him after 10 years of marriage. “I’m done with his cheating, drinking and his abuse,” Lupe said. But Lupe still needs help. She was at 243 lbs. after the skin removal surgery but her goal is to get to 180 lbs. and then get her hip surgery.
On her third My 600-lb. Life episode, Lupe is living with her cousin Stella and her son in San Antonio, but she plans on getting her own place after her hip surgery. And she’s dating! According to her Facebook account she’s dating a man named Andrew Renteria — aka DJ Plastik. My 600-lb. Life airs Wednesdays at 8pm on TLC.
