On the Married at First Sight Season 7 episode “Trouble in Paraside,” the strangers who married each other test the marital waters with their spouses. For some, the waters are more turbulent. One week after Tristan Thompson married Mia Bally, Mia was arrested. She was charged with three counts of alleged stalking and one count of alleged credit card fraud. The charged were dropped. Mia says in was a case of mistaken identity, but Tristan doesn’t know if he can or should trust Mia. On Married at First Sight, he tells Pastor Calvin Roberson, “But Mia has been lying to me and it’s hardly been a week. With that trust broken, I’m just not sure if I’m able to stay in this marriage.”
Married at First Sight fans are vocal about their support of Tristan. Many believe Tristan deserves a second chance at martial bliss, without Mia. If the married hasn’t been consummated, and if, as he says, Mia lied to him, Tristan could get an annulment rather than having to go through a costly divorce. Married at First Sight airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Lifetime, right before The Seven Year Switch.
