On Season 2 of World of Dance, judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo see some familiar faces including the faces of Poreotics. The six-man crew from Pasadena, California are known for their blend of popping and robotics. They formed Poreotics in 2007 and were up there with Jabbawockeez and Kinjaz and even starred in the 2010 Justin Bieber video “Somebody To Love” with Usher (see video below). But since then, the guys have taken on regular jobs or gone back to school. Then the first season of World of Dance inspired them to get back together and compete.
For their World of Dance qualifiers performance, Poreotics comes on stage with a lot of energy. During the performance, they proved that they had all the ingredients including body control and cool tricks to compete on World of Dance. But as judge Derek Hough points out, he wasn’t on the edge of his seat. Jennifer Lopez disagrees and gives them a score of 90. Poreotics is taking in the critiques from the judges and promises to bring it at the duels. New episodes of World of Dance air Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
