On Season 2 of Beat Shazam, Oscar-winning actor and TV host Jamie Foxx guides pairs of contestants as they try to identify various songs to win a cash prize. In the fifth episode, triple threat Ginuwine stops by. (The 6’2″ entertainer can sing, dance and act!) Born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin (yes, he was named after NBA star Elgin Baylor), Ginuwine launched his music career in the 1990s as a member of the hip-hop collective Swing Mob with Missy Elliott and Timbaland. A few years later he signed with Epic Records as a solo R&B singer.
[Ginuwine played himself in 3 episodes of Parks and Recreation]

Over the past 22 years, Ginuwine has released seven studio albums. He’s currently working on his eighth, Same O’l G…the Bachelor. (That’s a reference to his debut album, Ginuwine…the Bachelor, from 1996.) Note: Ginuwine was married to rapper Tonya M. Johnston aka Solé. They married in 2003 and divorced in 2015. Beat Shazam airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
