On the Teen Mom 2 episode “Quicksand,”Javi goes to Kailyn’s house to tell her that he’s being deployed again. In a month, he’ll be gone again for about six months. Kailyn asks, “So what does that mean for (their son) Lincoln?” Javi says “obviously, I’m asking a lot out of you to take care of him the whole time. So, I’d like to spend as much time as I can.” He tells Kailyn he plans on telling Lincoln and Kailyn’s son Isaac (with her ex Jo) right before he leaves. Kailyn says, “OK,” which pleases Javi. “I’m glad we’re on the same page.”
While Kailyn says, “I need us to be on the same page,” she reminds him that “we haven’t been, not since the reunion.” Javi agrees. Kailyn doesn’t stop talking. “I think you need to make better choices,” she says, to which Javi replies, “I think I’ve been making fine choices.” Kailyn tells him he should “have my back, as the mother of your child.” Kailyn continues to talk over him, “You are creating these issues because you are the middle man between me and your girlfriend (Briana). I know you can’t control her but you can tell her to ‘that’s the mother of my child, I have to raise a child with her.’” Kailyn doesn’t want Javi to defend a person — Briana — who says Kailyn is a bad mom. Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 8pm on MTV.
