In the Season 3 episode of Little Big Shots, “Give Us S’mores,” host Steve Harvey meets a number of talented musicians including the singing trio TNT Boys from the Philippines, and jazz pianist Justin-Lee Schultz. The 11-year-old pianist was born in Johannesburg, South Africa but now he and his family live in Michigan. He comes from a musical family. His big sister Jamie, 14, is a serious drummer. And their father, jazz guitarist Julius Schultz, is their coach and teacher. Together the three Schultzs (with the same initials!) perform at The J.L.S. Band.
[Justin-Lee is a fan of Herbie Hancock]
Justin-Lee recently took on the viral Twinkle Twinkle Little Star challenge. It’s where musicians around the world share their renditions of the beloved lullaby. Check out Justin-Lee’s below. (The challenge was started by 26-year-old Memphis musician Bart Orr.) New episodes of Little Big Shots air Thursdays at 8pm on NBC.
