On the fourth night of qualifiers on World of Dance, Season 2, judges Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo see some familiar faces (Season 1 runner-up Eva Igo) and some new ones including Bradas. Bradas is a six-man troupe from Auckland, New Zealand. (Bradas is translated as Brothers.) When they hit the World of Dance stage they reveal some incredible high intensity movements. At one point during the performance, one of the dancers dives through the straps of a duffel bag.
The Bradas performance also tells a story — they’re robbers — and is laden with clever tricks — they pull their hats over their faces which become masks. Judge Jennifer Lopez was so impressed, she took a moment to remind viewers at home that dancers are strong and that dancers are serious athletes. “LeBron James couldn’t do what you just did,” she says. It would be awesome to see the 6’8″ tall, 250 lbs. NBA star try it — but she’s right, right? New episodes of World of Dance airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
