In the two-episode Season 9 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles, Sam (LL Cool J) is shot by a cartel gang member. In custody, he reveals information concerning the whereabouts of arms dealer Spencer Williams. When the team discovers that Williams is the man who kidnapped Mosley’s (Nia Long) son Derrick (Jalyn Hall) five years ago, they travels to Mexico to try to rescue Mosley’s son. It’s an off-the-books mission. Spencer Williams is portrayed by Lamont Thompson.
