In the Empire episode “Fair Terms,” Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) confronts her mother (Alfre Woodard) again while Lucious (Terrence Howard) continues to fight Eddie (Forest Whitaker) over Empire. Meanwhile, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) tries his hand at acting. He accepts an offer to do a cameo on the film Down By Day. On the set, he meets the star of movie Haven Quinn. They’re about to do a sex scene together. Haven warns him “no tongue” and to keep his hands to himself. “I’m not one of your video hos,” she says.
Haven Quinn is portrayed by model/singer/dancer/twirler Cassie Ventura. Yes, twirler. After winning the title of National Grand Champion Twirler (five times!), Ventura launched her modeling career. She’s known for her performances in Kanye West’s 2007 music video “Stronger”, Chris Brown’s 2009 video “Crawl”, Nicki Minaj’s 2012 “The Boys” video, and The Black Eyed Peas video for “#WHERESTHELOVE”, among others. As a model, she’s known for posing nude for her boyfriend Diddy’s fragrance 3 AM. As a singer, she’s known for her hit single “Me & U” (2002) and signing with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. They sang “Must Be Love” together in 2009. Empire airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX, right before Star.
