Singer Leona Lewis at the 2018 National Memorial Day Concert was born and raised in London, England. She got her big break in the music and TV business when she won Season 3 of The X Factor in 2006. The prize was a £1 million recording contract with Simon Cowell‘s record label, Syco Music. The following year Lewis – who has a mezzo-soprano vocal range that spans four octaves — signed a five-album contract in the U.S. with Clive Davis and his record label, J Records. Since then the 33-year-old has released five albums, made her film debut in Walking on Sunshine in 2014, and in 2016, she made her Broadway debut in the revival of Cats as Grizabella at the Neil Simon Theatre.
