The Season 11 finale of The Big Bang Theory is a dramatic one. Not only are Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) getting married but the producers have pulled out all the stops when it comes to celebrity appearances. Oscar winner Kathy Bates plays Amy’s mother, Mrs. Fowler. And the silent half of magic duo Penn & Teller plays her dad. But that’s not all! Star Wars legendary actor Mark Hamill also makes an appearance.

In the episode, Hamill (who plays himself) shows up at Howard Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) doorstep. Simon has found Hamill’s dog, Bark. That’s right, the dog’s name is Bark Hamill.
In the video below, Hamill reveals that he’s known Helberg since Simon was 9 years old. He’s now 37. Hamill’s son, artist Nathan Hamill, 38, went to school with Helberg. Helberg’s parents are in the biz too. His father is actor Sandy Helberg (Spaceballs, This Is Spinal Tap), and his mother is casting director Harriet B. Helberg (Night Court, Benson, Barney Miller).
