This isn’t the first time Oscar-nominated actor Gary Sinise is hosting the National Memorial Day Concert on the Front Lawn of The White House. The live event will kick off at 8pm and will broadcast live on PBS. Sinise’s co-host is fellow actor Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds). Together they will host the annual salute to America’s military heroes. Musical guests include Charles Esten (Nashville), Megan Hilty, and the Lt. Dan Band, among others. Ten years after playing Lt. Dan in the iconic film Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks, Sinise started the cover band in Chicago in 2004. The Lt. Dan Band performs at USO shows to entertain troops and to raise money for disabled veterans.
