The Season 14 live finale of The Voice will be a memorable one. Not just because the show could break a record and name the youngest winner ever (Brynn Cartelli just turned 15) but also thanks to the performances by the musical guests. Two tall and gorgeous and talented singers from the UK — Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine and former YouTube star, model and singer Dua Lipa will deliver dramatic performances of their latest hits. Dua Lipa will sing her new single IDGAF, which stands for I Don’t Give a F–k. The song is about letting a former lover know that he’s no longer on the mind of the singer.
[The explicit versin of IDGAF is on Dua Lipa (Deluxe)]
In the recorded song, the 22-year-old Dua Lipa does sing “I Don’t Give a F–k” in the chorus but she will not be able to throw those f-bombs on prime time TV. So she’ll perform a clean version like the one below which is used on radio. It’s difficult to decipher the clean alternative to give a f–k. Sounds like “give a what” — which doesn’t exactly have the same effect. But the emotion is there. The Voice finale airs Monday and Tuesday, May 21 and 22 at 8pm on NBC.
