In the Scandal episode “Standing in the Sun,” Liv (Kerry Washington) is called to testify against President Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young). At the hearing, Liv is grilled by Special Prosecutor Lonnie Mencken — who is not a fan of the President. Mencken’s son Adam was killed in a mass shooting and loathes Mellie’s “love of guns.” The big question is — will Liv lie under oath for Mellie? If she does, will it stop Cyrus (Jeff Perry) and Jake (Scott Foley) from taking over the White House?
