In Season 5 finale episode of The Blacklist, “Ian Garvey (#13): Conclusion,” there’s a showdown brewing. It’s Ian Garvey (Jonny Coyne) against Red (James Spader). When Liz (Megan Boone) warns Red, “If you show up, you’ll be killed.” Red replies, “God doesn’t want me and the devil isn’t finished.” When Red sets out to retrieve the duffel bag of bones, he meets with artisan Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III, a blacklister who’s known for developing airtight alibis for murderous clients.
Sinclair is portrayed by John Noble. The Australian-born actor is known for his roles on Sleepy Hollow (Henry Parrish), Elementary (Holmes’ father, see below), Fringe (Dr. Walter Bishop), and in The Lord of the Rings movies (as Denethor), and Batman: Arkham Knight (Dr. Jonathan Crane), among others. The Blacklist airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
