On the Life In Pieces episodes “Portrait Plagiarism Renter Scam,” Jen (Zoe Lister-Jones) meets with her client Erickson — an artist who infringed on a fast food company’s logo. While Erickson says you can’t “own shapes and letters,” Jen explains that you can. (It’s called a logo!) The good news is she got the company to drop the case. Erickson offers to pay Jen with an original painting. She loves the idea…until she sees the final product.

The artist Erickson is portrayed by Sheaun McKinney. He’s known for his roles on Tina Fey’s Great News (Wayne, see photo below), HBO’s Vice Principals (Dayshawn), Drunk History (Martin Luther King, Jr.), Make It Happen (Larry Crawford), and Graceland (Eddie), among others. Life in Pieces airs Thursdays at 9:30 pm on CBS, right after Mom and right before S.W.A.T. [Binge watch Life in Pieces whenever you want via CBS All-Access]
