Lester Holt of Dateline interviews former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) special agent Andrew “Drew” Hogan. NBC says Hogan “comes out of the shadows” to detail his search for notorious drug lord Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera — aka “El Chapo”. Hogan provides exclusive, never-before-seen photographs and videos from the hunt with US and Mexican law enforcement agents. Hogan tells Holt that the non-stop search for El Chapo “consumed my life.”
[Hogan just released his book Hunting El Chapo]
The former deputy-sheriff from Kansas says it’s not just a story about one man (El Chapo). “It’s larger than that — it’s two countries coming together to accomplish something that everyone thought was impossible.” Hogan just released his book Hunting El Chapo (see link above) which his publisher describes as “a blend of Manhunt, Killing Pablo, and Zero Dark Thirty.” And yes, a major motion picture from Sony is in the works. Sony is talking to Michael Bay (Transformers) to direct. Dateline NBC airs on Sundays at 7pm.
