In the Hallmark Channel movie Royal Matchmaker, New York City matchmaker Kate Gleason is hired by a king to find his son Prince Sebastian (Will Kemp) a suitable wife. Time is of the essence. The king wants to announce that he’s son is engaged at a national celebration but the future king is hesitant to work with the matchmaker, at first. While on the job, Kate falls for the prince. “He deserves to have someone who loves him,” she moons. And he falls for her, too.
Kate is portrayed by Joy Lenz. She’s known for her roles on Colony (Morgan), American Gothic (April), Dexter (Cassie), One Tree Hill (Haley James Scott), and Guiding Light (Michelle Bauer Santos), among others. Lenz most recently played the fiance of Jo’s abusive ex-husband Paul on Grey’s Anatomy. Royal Matchmaker premieres on Hallmark on Saturday, March 24 at 9pm.
