On the Survivor: Ghost Island episode “Trust Your Gut,” the castaways who remain get physical during a classic water challenge. Domenick Abbate, the 38-year-old construction supervisor from Nesconset, New York in the Naviti tribe, wakes up and finds something at the bottom of his bag. He walks away from the camp to see what it is.
It’s a legacy advantage willed to Domenick from Morgan Ricke, the 29-year-old marine animal trainer who was voted out on Day 9. “It’s a great moment for me,” says Domenick. It means he’s granted immunity, but he can only use it when there are 13 people left in the game, or when there are only 6 people left in the game.” (There are 17 castaways left right now.) “I’ll take all the help I can get out here,” Domenick says as he kisses the document. “I cannot go down and be eaten alive the same way these past players (that includes you Morgan!) have been.” P.S. Jacob, who was voted out on Day 6, also possessed the legacy advantage. Is it cursed?! Survivor: Ghost Island airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
