During the second Battle Rounds on The Voice Season 14, Adam Levine pits Reid Umstattd against the one-named singer Davison. Together they sing the Rihanna song “Love On the Brain.” Reid’s experience on stage is a definite advantage. The 34-year-old from Austin, Texas spent years in the alt-rock band Nelo. Davison is a 23-year-old aspiring star who pays his bills as a store supervisor. While the talent of both men is undeniable, Reid sings the lyrics with conviction. Based on the reactions from Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys, they agree.
