In the Married to Medicine episode “Circle of Truth,” Dr. Heavenly Kimes is leading couples therapy in Barbados but she’s unwilling to share her own problems. Seeing Dr. Jackie Walters hurting (her husband Curtis admitted to cheating), Heavenly’s nemesis Mariah Huq steps up and reveals that her husband Dr. Aydin Huq cheated on her too. Mariah says, “I don’t have a perfect marriage.” They’ve been married for more than 10 years. “We’ve had issues just like everybody else.” Mariah said she made the decision to fight for her marriage “and try to make it better.”
Jackie appreciates Mariah sharing something so personal as a means of helping her through what she’s going through. Jackie whispers with a lump in her throat, “It meant the world to me.” Mariah says she wants Jackie to know, “This is a phase, and there is hope. But you both have to be willing and put in the work.” Married to Medicine airs Fridays at 9pm on Bravo. P.S. Dr. Simone Whitmore has since announced her divorce with husband Cecil.
