Carter is also known for her role as Vermont Governor Jessman in the 2001 comedy film Super Troopers, and 17 years later, she’s reprising her role for the sequel, Super Troopers 2. It’s about five wacky state troopers who like to have a good time but are also responsible for setting up a new highway patrol station at the US and Canada border. While the two nations dispute over the location, Governor Jessman will have to negotiate with the mayor of the Canadian border town, a former hockey player played by Rob Lowe. Super Troopers 2 will be released on April 20, 2018. The creators of Super Troopers known as Broken Lizard raised more than $4.6 million on Indiegogo to make the sequel. Fox Searchlight is betting on another hit. It paid $3.25 million for distribution rights of Super Troopers, which grossed $23.1 million at the box office. Match Game airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
