The Season 14 premiere of The Voice was an exciting one. During the very first Blind Audition, Blake Shelton used his new Blocked buzzer. (Every coach can use it but only once.) Blake wanted 17-year-old Britton Buchanan to be on his team, not Adam Levine‘s. (The kid picked Alicia Keys instead!) Later in the night, when Adam and Blake were fighting over Drew Cole, the 25-year-old bartender, who sang a rockin’ version of “Sex and Candy” for his audition, Blake’s joke backfired on him.

Blake commented on the shirt Adam was wearing — a Hawaiian print shirt with rolled up short sleeves. He refers to Adam as “Ace Ventura” the movie pet detective portrayed by Jim Carrey. Drew choose Adam. When Adam hugged his new artist Drew, he told him “Don’t let go.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
