As of Valentine’s Day, there are five teams left competing on The Amazing Race Season 30. And three of them are dating: Big Brother alumni couple Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf; Yale debators Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak; and lifeguards Luca Bocanegra and Brittany Austin. The other two pairs are: Indy car drivers Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly, and X-Games athletes Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak. The February 14 episode “The First Rule of Amazing Race Club” is set in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where the racers are forced to either eat or wear scorpions. Big Brother Cody opts to eat a scorpion, while girlfriend Jess wears one (see video below).
If you want to get the best of both worlds — Amazing Race and the new Celebrity Big Brother (which comes on right before Amazing Race), tune in Living Jody’s YouTube channel where Jess and Cody recap episodes of Celebrity Big Brother every week. When talking about the second eviction BB episode (Keshia Knight Pulliam asked everyone to send her home to be with her baby), Cody brings up the show’s “new alliances and flips” on the celebrity edition. Cody says, “I prefer, to the end of this, that there be a flip every week.” Jess agrees, “Flips make the show better. Everyone wants to see a good blindside because it’s good drama.” The Amazing Race airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBS.
