On the Madam Secretary episode “Sound and Fury,” President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine) reacts aggressively when he learns about a sonic attack at a U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria. Thinking that Russia is to blame, Dalton threatens them with military force. When the president goes on a tirade about being “the most powerful man on earth and no one is going to stop me,” Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) tries to figure out why POTUS is acting so hawkish. She turns to his wife, First Lady Lydia Dalton.
