On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes introduces her friend Eva Marcille to the group. Eva launched her modeling career with the help of supermodel Tyra Banks. Eva won the third cycle of Banks’ reality show competition America’s Next Top Model in 2004. Eva is now a mom (expecting her second), and recently engaged to her boyfriend, attorney Michael T. Sterling. He proposed on Christmas Day 2017!
Michael T. Sterling is a graduate of Morehouse College and Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Sterling launched his legal career as an associate attorney at the law firm of Sidley Austin, then became Assistant U.S. Attorney before becoming Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed. In 2017 Sterling ran against Reed who was re-elected. (Reed has been Mayor of Atlanta since 2009.) Sterling is currently running his own practice and representing Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons (ex-boyfriend of RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey) who is facing accusations of sexual assault and harassment. The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
