On the third episode of The Bachelor, the TV show where one man dates dozens of women at one time and they all know and fight over him, “Arie selects eight women to battle for supremacy in the wrestling arena.” After those women physically wrestle to win the affection of Arie, seven other women get to perform with show dogs in order to impress Arie. The producers of The Bachelor must have a great sense of humor. They hired 78-year-old comedic actor Fred Willard to provide commentary at the dog show.

One of Willard’s best roles (and there have been many! — Phil’s father on Modern Family and Amy’s father on Everyone Loves Raymond, to name two!) is Buck Langdon in Christopher Guest‘s 2000 comedy Best in Show, see link above. Two-hour episodes of The Bachelor air Mondays at 8pm on ABC, right before The Good Doctor.
