America’s Next Top Model is back for Season 24, and creator of the show supermodel Tyra Banks is back. Tyra returns to her “family” on the panel: plus-size model Ashley Graham, celebrity stylist Law Roach (Zendaya, Celine Dion), and Drew Elliott of Paper Magazine. In the season premiere, Tyra has some announcements to make. 1. In the first week of cycle 24, they need to go from 26 to 14 girls. That’s right, 12 girls go home. But it won’t be because of their size or color or age — or because any of those characteristics don’t fit a certain prototype. As Drew says, “Model diversity is so important. We want a girl who is not like anyone else, and who is authentically herself.”

Tyra is proud to announce that she’s eliminated the age limit. “So it’s now eighteen and infinity.” And she introduces a brand new ANTM rule. If all four panelists don’t think a contestant is fierce enough for the competition or the title, “no matter where we are, we have the power together to cut her.” Ashley Graham is impressed with the fierce rule. But keep in mind, all four panelists have to agree. Think that’s ever going to happen? America’s Next Top Model airs Tuesdays at 8pm on VH1.
