In The Simpsons episode “Mr. Lisa’s Opus,” future Lisa writes her college application essay for Harvard. While considering her past, Lisa reminisces about all the disappointing birthdays she’s had and how all of them have helped shape the young woman she is now. In one of her memories, we see one of Lisa’s teachers, Ms. Myles.
[Valerie Harper’s most famous character was Rhoda]
Ms. Myles is voiced by Valerie Harper. This isn’t Harper’s first time on The Simpsons. She’s voiced Proctor Perkins in “A Test Before Trying”, an old lady in “Looking for Mr. Goodbart,” and Mrs. Butterworth in “Moho House.” Harper is known for her roles on The Office (Rita Stone), Valerie (Valerie Hogan), and as Rhoda Morgenstern on Mary Tyler Moore Show and the spin-off Rhoda (see link above). The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8pm on FOX.
