In the S.W.A.T. episode “Homecoming,” Hondo’s (Shemar Moore) imprisoned childhood friend Leroy asks him to protect his son Darryl (Deshae Frost) from gang violence. The favor brings Hondo and his S.W.A.T. team into contact with a new local crime outfit. The leader respects Leroy but as he tells Hondo, “Leroy’s been out of the game for a while.”

Hondo’s friend Leroy is portrayed by Michael Beach. He’s known for his roles on Dynasty (Police Chief Stansfield), Secrets and Lies (Arthur Fenton), The Game (Roger Keith), Sons of Anarchy (T.O. Cross), Crisis (FBI Director Olsen), The Client List (Harold Clemens), Third Watch (Monte Parker), and ER (Al Boulet), among others. Beach is also recognized for his roles in the films Red Dawn (Mayor Jenkins), Quentin Tarantino’s True Romance (Wurlitzer — Tarantino wrote it, Tony Scott directs), and Robert Altman’s Short Cuts (Jim Stone). P.S. He’s been working out! See photos below. S.W.A.T. airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS, right after Life in Pieces.
