Pharrell Williams, the former The Voice coach, is back for the Live Finale of Season 13. Before one of the final four singers — Chloe Kohanski and Red Marlow on Team Blake, Addison Agen on Team Adam, and Brooke Simpson on Team Miley — is named the winner, Pharrell will perform the song “Lemon” with his funk rock band N.E.R.D. The song features Rihanna; she’s in the music video too (see below).
N.E.R.D’s album title is an acronym “No_One Ever Really Dies.” The album features the song “Don’t Don’t Do It!’ featuring Kendrick Lamar. When listening to and talking about the song in the studio, Pharrell asks, “What would the world be like if we could get everybody to put their hands in the air?” The song was inspired by the death of Keith Scott at the hands of police. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
