On the Black Ink Crew episode “Texas Here I Come!” Sky flies to Texas to meet her sons’ adoptive mother Candace. When she gets to her house, she compliments Candace on her lovely home and says how much she appreciates her taking care of her sons. Then Sky asks if it’s okay if she sees the boys. Candace tells Sky that seeing her younger son “won’t be a problem at all.” She says he’s in football right now but he “cannot wait, cannot wait” to see her.
But, “as far as Genesis goes (the older boy),” Candace tells Sky, “I haven’t seen him since July.” Candace tells Sky that Genesis’ biological father Alton reached out to Genesis about a year ago and since then “he’s changed.” That said, Candace agrees to reach out to Genesis to see if he wants to see his mother. Black Ink Crew airs Wednesdays at 9pm on VH1.
