Addison Agen is the 16-year-old singer/songwriter competing on Season 13 of The Voice. With the help of her coach Adam Levine, Addison has made it to the Live Finale. Her song selection has been key to her success. A big moment for Addison on The Voice was her performance of the Joni Mitchell ballad, ‘A Case of You.’ Now Addison gets the opportunity to sing with another singer/songwriter she adores, Norah Jones. On the Live Finale they will sing Jones’ most popular song, “Don’t Know Why.”

Norah Jones is also a fan of Joni Mitchell. Jones was one of the featured artists on the 2007 album River: The Joni Letters (see link above). It was a tribute album put together by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock who is a longtime friend of Mitchell. (He played on her 1979 album Mingus.) Other singers featured on the album, which won the 2008 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, include the late Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, and Mitchell herself. The winner of The Voice will be announced Tuesday, December 19 (9pm on NBC).
