In the Superior Donuts episode “Thanks for Nothing,” it’s Thanksgiving at the Chicago donut shop. When good guy Franco (Jermaine Fowler) hosts a dinner at the shop for orphans, he suggests that Arthur (Judd Hirsch) invite his estranged daughter Lucy. Arthur agrees, but only if Franco invests his estranged father, Reggie (Cedric the Entertainer). Holiday awkwardness ensues.
[Mumolo’s scene in Bridesmaids is a memorable one]
Arthur’s estranged daughter Lucy is portrayed by Annie Mumolo. The comedic actress is known for her roles on Angie Tribeca (Beth Wiedner), About a Boy (Laurie, see photo below), and in the films Bad Moms (Vicky), This Is 40 (Barb), and Bridesmaids (the nervous woman on the plane next to Kristen Wiig, see link above), among others. Fun fact: Mumolo was one of the writers on Bridesmaids, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. Superior Donuts airs Mondays at 9pm on CBS, right after Man with a Plan, and right before 9JKL. You can also stream 9000+ episodes and live TV with a CBS All-Access free trial.
