One of the three unique artists left on The Voice‘s Team Blake is Keisha Renee. She grew up singing gospel in church — but as a grown woman she can’t quit country. Keisha’ s been on roll singing country classics including “I Can’t Stop Loving You” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” For her Top 11 Live performance, she’s not going so far back in the archives. She’s singing Faith Hill’s 1995 hit “It Matters To Me.”
[It Matters To Me is Faith Hill’s second studio album]
[Download Keisha Renee’s version on iTunes] The song is about a woman who gets the cold shoulder from her lover who fights “without sayin’ a word” and then waltzes right back into her life. “When we don’t talk/ When we don’t touch” means something to the woman who desperately wants him to see how much his behavior hurts her. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
