You have to exclude Jennifer Aniston‘s numerous TV commercials — Aveeno makes her feel terrific! — to say she’s returning to television. But it has been nearly 14 years since Friends wrapped. And despite opportunities galore Aniston has said no to everything until now. Apple is the winner of the Aniston Sweepstakes. Moving into TV like every other big tech company (Amazon, Google, Facebook) is eager to make inroads in TV programming, and winning Aniston — along with co-star Reese Witherspoon (Elle Woods, y’all) — is a big deal.

The series isn’t yet named, but House of Cards Emmy winner Jay Carson will be the showrunner. Aniston, Witherspoon and Carson will executive produce. The show is about morning talk show TV hosts. Witherspoon appeared on Friends as Aniston’s younger sister. (Will Witherspoon and Aniston play sisters again?) The popular show’s last episode aired in 2004. But it’s not as if Aniston disappeared. She’s appeared in numerous films and she’s a sought-after endorser of beauty products. See video below.
