On the Shahs of Sunset episode “The Thread That Broke the Shahs’ Backs,” Reza goes to The Hudson Theatres to rehearse the play he wrote, “Eez Not Right.” It’s about two Persian grandmothers. One is Muslim, the other Jewish. They work together to plan their grandson’s wedding. MJ plays one of the grandmothers.
When MJ shows up at the rehearsal, she says it’s not the first time she’s acted. She took acting at Beverly Hills High School. “Monica Lewinsky was in the class. Oh, and also in the class was Erik Menendez.” Erik and his brother Lyle were found guilty of murdering their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion. Reflecting on Erik, MJ says, “Poor guy. Poor parents.” And then she added, “He was really good at tennis.” Shahs of Sunset airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
