In The Big Bang Theory “The Retraction Reaction,” Leonard (Johnny Galecki) gives an embarrassing radio interview with “Science Friday” NPR host Ira Flatow (who plays himself) and irks the entire physics community including his co-workers at the university. It was so bad, he has a talk with HR director Mrs. Davis (Regina King!).
After the interview, Leonard’s wife Penny (Kaley Cuoco) – who’s rocking a long straight hair do* – tries to console him by talking about how hard physics can be while Leonard “drowns his sorrows” with Sheldon (Jim Parsons). When Penny discovers the two scientists are drinking mouthwash, she says, “That’s so summer camp.” The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS. *Cuoco has been going with a wavy hair style recently…if not up in a bun (see photos below).
