Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders recounts the 1989 murders of Jose and Kitty Menendez and the trials that followed. Lyle and Erik Menendez were charged with first-degree murder of their parents. Both young men were cross-examined at trial by Deputy District Attorney Pamela Bozanich. After the first trials (they were tried separately), both declared mistrials, Bozanich had said she “would rather eat ground glass for a year than retry this case.” She was replaced as prosecutor for the second trial.
[Reaser was nominated for an Emmy Award for her Grey’s Anatomy role]
In the series, Bozanich is portrayed by Elizabeth Reaser. She’s known for her roles on Mad Men (Diana Baur), The Good Wife (Tammy Linnata), The Ex List (Bella Bloom), Grey’s Anatomy (Rebecca Pope), and in The Twilight Saga movies (Esme Cullen), among others. Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders airs Tuesday, September 26 at 10pm on NBC.
