Joe Castillo is the sand artist on Little Big Shots: Forever Young. Born in Mexico City, educated in the States, Joe went on to found the ad agency, The Advertising Library in Knoxville, Tennessee. Now he spends his time creating Sand Stories, images Joe draws in sand on top of a light table which is projected onto a screen for large audiences. Each drawing is set to music which makes it a performance.
In 2012, Joe auditioned on America’s Got Talent and made it to the finals. Judge Howard Stern called Castillo “a true artist. You really are remarkable.” See the video below. Little Big Shots: Forever Young airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
