Ben Bailey was always a cool host as the cab driver in the addictive game show-slash-reality show Cash Cab. Bailey’s alert, intelligent eyes seemingly paid equal attention to the contestants and the road as he navigated New York City streets in an iconic Yellow Cab — and asked his riders a series of questions that escalated in difficulty. Now the series, which ran from 2005-12, has been revived by Discovery — much to the delight of Cash Cab fans everywhere.

Typically the news provoked Bailey to get off a good joke. “Huge thanks to all the fans who pushed for the show and for me to come back! Never before has a comedian been so happy to go back to driving a cab.” That’s classic Bailey, who travels the comedy circuit (he was recently scheduled at the Hollywood Improv and NYC Comedy Cellar) and has done specials for Amazon and Comedy Central.
