On Basketball Wives, while the women are vacationing in Palm Springs, Evelyn Lozada surprises Cristen by saying she wants to give Cristen a makeover. Cristen doesn’t say a word — no one does — which prompts Evelyn to say, “It’ll be fun.” She adds, “I think you have the potential to be super bomb.” Evelyn says, “It’s no shade,” which has Cristen say under her breath “Okay.” Yes, she’s offended! She doesn’t like being judged. Plus, based on a previous episode, Cristen’s man Joe Crawford seems to like what he sees.
Cristen and Joe have been together for 7 or 8 years. They have a 6-year-old daughter together. Joe Crawford is a retired basketball player. After playing college ball at Kentucky (2004-2008), he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2008. When waived he played with the NBA Developmental league for the Lakers the D-Fenders. The New York Knicks called him up from the D-League in 2009. He went on to play with the Jiangsu Dragons, and Beijing Ducks, Maccabi Rishon LeZion. He retired in 2015 and is currently working on developing an app. Basketball Wives airs Mondays at 9pm on VH1.
