When J.D., who comes from a musical family, got the chance to audition for Childish Gambino’s (aka Donald Glover) song “Awaken, My Love!”, J.D. sent a recording of himself singing Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Loving You” and got the job. J.D. said of the experience: “The whole time I was recording I kept thinking, Wow, he hand-picked me to do this. I know this because he actually said that.” Little Big Shots airs Sundays at 7pm and 8pm on NBC.
